It is such an amazing shop, and you notice it as soon as you walk through the doors. Very relaxed, calm atmosphere, large selection of clothes and styles, a lot of smiling and helpful comments. I bought most of my pregnancy gear here and since we moved to a bigger house in SE to accomodate my expanding family, I am so thrilled to have discovered they have a newly opened shop called Oranges and Lemons who also has a Pretty Pregnant concession in store! Good move!
Lovely and impressive jeans range, bought three pairs, and such nice lingerie and nursing bras! Felt right at ease and was treated by the excellent customer service they offer in store. Wil definately come back soon.
I found this store great. I'm 7 months pregnant and found this to be the only place that stocks really nice clothes for everyday and work. It's true that they don't do refunds, only exchanges or credit notes, but to be honest I really didn't need one as I was so happy with the clothes. The staff are great and really helpful, and it's one of only a few places in London where I have found a combination of great service and fantastic maternity wear.
Pampering & shopping without crowds! What a brilliant idea! I often find it extremely difficult to shop for myself with 2 young children & the third on the way. But the evening opening times were the perfect excuse to get out of the house & leave hubby with the kids! I can't wait to hear more about the support team idea too. Please, please, please continue to do them!
In August my daughter was feeding her month old baby and did not have a decent feeding bra. Before baby arrived she tried to buy a bra at other stores who kept her waiting for 15mins with no chair and when the bra fitter arrived she did not know what she was doing, so no help. I live in France so via the internet found Pretty Pregnacy and rang to see if they could do a home bra fitting service. I have forgotten the name of the lady but she was SO helpful, After speaking with my daughter to find out pre-birth bra size she went to her house (?10 charge which is refunded if you buy) with a handful of bras and other feeding items of clothing. There was no pressure to buy and yes, they were expenisve, but my daughter was simply thrilled with the perfect bra. It has made feeding her baby an absolute pleasure.Well done Pretty Pregnacy, Mrs J A Banks a very new Grandma!
Well, it is Dulwich, and the Mummy Mafia can afford the best for their little ones. I came in here to buy some clothes for my growing gut as my normal trousers are straining at the seams. The staff were lovely and really helpful. When I explained that I'm not ready to do the awful maternity clothes with the elasticated waistband and that I don't want to look like a frump, they offered me some great trousers to choose from. Not cheap, but worth a look in if you want some stylish maternity clothing. They do tonnes of baby stuff, lots of brilliant baby gifts, including the lullaby CDs of Bob Marley and Metallica tunes! I love this shop! I was so fed up of feeling and looking frumpy, when I found this gem. The clothes are fantastic and the staff so helpful, it was a real treat. So difficult at this time of my life to just go out and shop, but Pretty Pregnant turned out to be a real life-saver. I heard they are opening in central London in May 2008. Definitely worth the trip!
Its great to work with like minded businesses and Pretty Pregnant is a good partner for Neal's Yard Remedies as we have a number of therapists offering a wide selection of treatments that really do help with a stress free pregnancy from pre & post natal massage to Acupuncture & Reflexology for those beyond their due date. Our passion is also for education and so we enjoy hosting regular workshops on fertility, pregnancy nutrition, herbs and so much more
I very much enjoyed the event last Thursday and it seemed to be a great success. I had some very interesting and informative conversations with the organisers and I can only recommend to continue such an event in the future. Furthermore, the shop has a great stock of very beautiful maternity clothing. Kind regards, Nadine
I went to the Northcote road branch and thought it was a great idea and the staff particularly Sonia were extremely helpful and pleasant. I probably wouldn't have considered visiting as the online shop is very good but the pampering & out of hours shopping drew me in! I got some great pieces & will definitely be back. Just wish there was a store closer to Richmond!
Pretty Pregnant sent two of their bra fitting consultants to our Breastfeeding Awareness Week event to chat to Mums about wearing the right bra both during pregnancy and once nursing a newborn. They were professional, yet relaxed and friendly and bought with them a beautiful collection of lingerie for Mums to look at. They also very kindly supplied our Mums with a goodie bag to take home. Pretty Pregnant bra fitters are trained by The Royal College of Midwives certified instructors and so offer expert advice combined with a personal service in-store.
I hear that Pretty Pregnant are launching a new maternity shop in central London. I am so glad as I basically live there myself! I just gave birth to twins and I dont know where i would be without their nursing gear. Thumbs up!
The Pretty Pregnant website is so inspirational. It's brimming over with such stylish maternity clothes.
I am over the moon, my favourite maternity shop is finally opening a new branch by my door steps! Pretty Pregnant is opening another boutique just off marylebone high street, it's going to be a success as they are by far the best maternity wear providers in London. I will be there in May shopping myself happy!!
I found this shop to be fantastic! I've been to this shop and also the fairly new Kings Road branch in Chelsea. The staff were so helpful, they were a fountain of knowledge - as a first-time mum I needed all the help I could get! The staff told me about the no refund policy, which was fine because they spent so much time with me making sure everything fit. At the end of the day, if you are stupid enough to buy a pair of jeans that are too big for you then that is your problem. It's not exactly their fault is it? Oh, and it does say on the receipt that they do not do refunds, only exchanges and credit notes. I really love this shop. My little one has grown up now and I still come in for a chat!
Pretty Pregnant's designs combine the latest trends with comfort, creating clothes that we are always proud to feature in Baby London magazine.
Wasn't sure at first when the Mama Mio lady suggested rubbing cream onto my legs through my tights - but what a treat! The legs serum really refreshed my legs & feet - sadly it didn't make the swelling go down but the feeling was great! And my new refreshed limbs had a great wander around the st
